Annapolis Clubs & Organizations
The Dearborn Heights School District #7 Board of Education supports the belief that a program of student activities and athletics is vital to the educational development of students. A balanced and comprehensive program of activities and athletics is a complement to the instructional program. All extracurricular programs will give students the opportunity to develop interest, advance their leadership skills and acknowledge the value of positive sportsmanship through competition in interscholastic athletics.
The purpose of this policy is to help the student, who is involved in all aspects of the extracurricular program, monitor his/her academic classroom performance. Activity groups and clubs are available in a variety of interest areas as after school organizations. The formation of such groups and clubs is based on the number of students interested and the availability of sponsors.
Students desiring to organize a club or activity should contact the assistant principal or an interested staff member. Student Council The Student Council is composed of grade level representatives elected by their peers. The council's function is to promote the general welfare of the school, assist in formulating school policies and encourage a friendly relationship among students, administration, teachers and parents. The Council will be effective only if students keep themselves informed and make their feelings known to their representatives.
School Store The Cougar Den is sponsored by the Business Club at Annapolis High School. The store stocks student snacks, school supplies and other items of interest to students. The purpose of this store is to raise funds for community projects and scholarships.
