Welcome to Annapolis High School

Hello District 7 Parents and Community,
I am Cheryl Howard, Principal of Annapolis High School. I grew up in Taylor and graduated from Truman High School. I am very close with my family and friends. I enjoy going to the theatre/concerts, museums, vacationing, socializing and I am always on the go. I also have a cat named Presley who is very mischievous and believes he is a dog.
I am honored to be associated with this community.  I began working in District 7 in September of the 2000-2001 school year.  Prior to administration, I was a science teacher at the middle school and high school. I also spent time teaching at the elementary level. I really enjoy working with students and watching them grow as inquisitive students. I began working in administration in 2006 as the Dean of Students then the Assistant Principal at Annapolis High School. Prior to working in District 7, I received an Associate in Liberal Arts and an Associate in Science from Henry Ford Community College, a Bachelor’s of Science from Eastern Michigan University, a Masters in Educational Leadership and an Ed. Specialist in General Education and Supervision from Wayne State University. I am a strong advocate of and firm believer in being a life-long learner.

I became the principal of Annapolis High School in 2015. We have many activities, clubs and organizations so something is going on every day. I look forward to working with each of you.
Go Cougars!
