Annapolis Academic Requirements

The curriculum at Annapolis High School is a blend of required and elective courses designed to prepare our students academically, vocationally, socially and physically.  Students may choose an emphasis in college preparatory, career technical program or a strong general education, which will prepare them for the immediate world of work.

Annapolis High School encourages achievement through a curriculum, which offers a variety of classes to meet student's academic needs.  AdvancEd and the State of Michigan accredits Annapolis High School.

Graduation from Annapolis High School requires a student to meet a set number of requirements with at least the last year being spent at Annapolis.  Each student must take seven classes each semester of their high school career.  All courses taken and passed earn 1/2 credit per semester with the exception of the seminar class (MP2) which earns ¼ credit.  All students must be enrolled in at least 6.5 credits each year.  Board Policy also requires that to earn a diploma each class must have taken the MME and can only participate in the graduation ceremony if they have met all the requirements to be a graduate.  Each class must also have had an online experience sometime during their high school career and had a math experience their last year of high school.
