Physical Education

The American Heart Association recommends that children should have a minimum of 30 minutes of physical activity during the school day. The AHA also suggests that schools should provide 30 minutes of recess, intramural sports, and promotes skills needed to engage students in life-long physical activity.

Annapolis High School believes that it is important that physical education be incorporated along with a student’s curriculum. Physical Education courses help students learn about their options for sports and leisure time and encourages them to take up regular physical activity as a health-enhancing move.
