Tutoring Assistance
Tutoring is available to AHS students in several options
Multi-Purpose Period (MP2)
Every AHS student has a class called MP2 as his/her 3rd hour class. During this period, three days a week, students, with a pass from their teacher, can receive additional help in a subject area from that teacher. In addition, one day a week students can be tutored by their peers through the Math Busters tutoring program
Teachers (before and after school)
Routinely teachers and honors students provide tutoring support before and after school hours. Students may contact their individual teachers to arrange a time before or after school to receive additional help in a course.
Tutors
The school district maintains a list of individuals who are interested in tutoring students. Parents must make their own arrangements with these individuals. The district does not endorse those on the list.
